For geotechnical measurements and observations in situ the following is available:
- Various drilling equipments for the collection of specimens and to establish measurement boreholes
- Borehole-TV (for borehole diameters greater than 40 mm) for the inspection of borehole walls (for observations of e.g. break-out-effects)
- Hydrofrac probes for stress sounding (borehole diameter 42 mm and 101 mm with localisation of crack propagation)
- Extensometer and inclinometer for the measurement of ground movements (incremental extensometer and horizontal inclinometer)
- Borehole deformometer for measurements of borehole convergences and stress determination by the stress relief method
- Pressure probes and rate-controlled pumps for determination of permeation in the solid rock.
